This May, during Mental Health Awareness Month, the Gwinnett County Solicitor-General’s Office is highlighting an issue that affects every part of our community—the state of our mental health.
Mental health is just as important as physical health, yet many people still face barriers to obtaining care and seeking treatment, the stigma of acknowledging their mental health struggles, and a lack of resources. By raising awareness and encouraging open conversations, we can help break those barriers and support those who may be struggling.
In Gwinnett County and beyond, addressing mental health means investing in prevention, treatment, and community support systems. It also means recognizing how mental health relates to public safety, the justice system, and overall well-being.
Let’s continue to support initiatives that prioritize mental health, uplift one another, and build a stronger, healthier community for everyone. 💚
